Armorik Breton Sherry Finish French Single Malt Whisky

Armorik Sherry Finish is mostly aged in refill bourbon casks and then finished in first fill sherry butts for about 8 months. The natural fruitiness of Armorik is thereby enhanced by warm notes of dried fruit and prunes so characteristic of sherry. Round and warm with notes of candied fruit, grain and a touch of chocolate; creamy texture that coats the palate in a slightly spiced finish.

Lagavulin Distiller's Edition

Each Distillers Edition expression undergoes a second (or ‘double’) maturation in casks that have previously held a fortified wine. A really distinctive and distinguished dram, full of peat while the Pedro Ximinez sherry wood naturally has a big say; A more mellow Lagavulin, not quite as deep or intense as the 16 year old.

Wemyss The Hive 12 Year Old Blended Scotch Whisky

This is a blend of malt whiskies, with an emphasis on 12yo Speyside malt from both fresh and refill Sherry casks. The colour is rich and bronze, which hints at the sherry cask maturation. Nosing reveals sweetness and a hint of spice; reminiscent of fresh honey, toffee apples and cinnamon sticks. The rich, honeyed sweetness continues onto the palate; dominating over aromas of dessert spice and candied fruits. The lengthy finish is smooth and sweetly satisfying.

Caol Ila 14 Year Old Unpeated Sherry Cask

The latest incarnation of the yearly cask strength 'unpeated' Caol Ila produced as part of Diageo's Special Releases selection. This time it's been aged for 14 years in ex-sherry casks, filled in 1997. There's not a lot of sherried Caol Ila out there and this might be our pick of this year's range. Distiller's Tasting Notes: Caol Ila 14 Year Old Unpeated Sherry Cask Color: Clear, bright gold with copper lights.

Glenfiddich Malt Master's Edition 2012

Glenfiddich's sixth Malt Master, Brian Kinsman, continues the distillery's tradition of innovation with this latest creation. The Malt Master's Edition is matured twice, each time for a number of years, in two separate casks consecutively. First the whisky is aged in traditional oak for a period of years then in the highest quality sherry casks for its final years of maturation. This creates a rich, complex whisky with flavors imparted from both woods.
