Bastille 1789 French Single Malt Whisky (750ml)

Bastille 1789 French Single Malt Whisky features 100% malted barley sourced from North East France. The water used during production is naturally filtered through limestone forsin centuries ensuring incredible purity.

It is distilled twice in copper stills using water from Charente springs and a 120-year-old strain of yeast. Finally, it is aged in Limousin oak barrels that have previously held some of the finest wines such as Sauterne, Burgundy, Sherry as well as a French Spirit.

“The opening aromas are opulent, toasty, grainy, malty, and ripe, and frankly, much nicer than when I evaluated it in 2011; second-stage nosing passes detect delicately spiced fruit-like scents, especially spiced pear, as well as elegant, supplemental fragrances of toffee, cinnamon, allspice, and honeysuckle.
